Thanks John - I learnt something new. In Indian languages also they are called the same names depending on the language. The most common lime in India is one inch round fruit that is almost always sold when it has just turned slightly yellow.

Another way to tell if it is a Meyer vs. something else, look for the color of the new growth. My Meyer's new flushes of growth are green, not red in coloring.

If the new growth on your Meyer is not reddish brown, you are not feeding it enough.

My Eureka Lemon (since now I have a name for it) new leaves are reddish brown. In fact, the recent new stems have thorns too. Does not look like any root stock growth. In fact, I cannot even locate any obvious graft line on this one.

The Eureka, like the Meyer produces new growth that is at first reddish brown; then light green; and finally darker green; it is how the tree "tells you" it is getting enough food.
