They are pretty awful little buggers but I would think you are probably ok. Ive had em twice. I never saw any flying around. They seem to be kind of bashful and if you bump the plant they're ruining, they normally scurry to hide.

The plant w the thrips was the only plant in the house? If so, you're probably good. If not, you may not be, depending on circumstances.

I thinking in 2 weeks ... they will be all dead. But if there are other plants... it is probably not their preferred diet.. the adults will definitely die out - and if they do not have a green plant to lay eggs... they will be gone.

oh, adult thrips definitely fly, they are similar to gnats.

they fly well ... but you do not see the buggers... they are skinny and fast, like little torpedoes... while F-gnats are slow and visible,

I hate those F-gnats.

For the fungus gnats, you can spray the tops of your soils with a Safer product, and they'll eventually die out.

Ooooh. Fungus gnats. Thats not what we call them here in North Florida.
