I’m new... Meyer Lemon?

We live in Ohio and brought our tree in a few weeks ago. It didn’t flower all summer. I just noticed over the past week it is budding and the leaves look great (in my opinion, and I don’t know what I’m talking about ). Isn’t it out of season for flowering? I guess I just assumed it would skip a year. Is this ok/normal/to be celebrated? Haha. Thanks !

Great looking tree, I'm in Ohio as well. This was a great year mine is loaded with fruit !!

Hi Lacey and welcome! No it is not unusual for a meyer to be flowering now in fact mine is just finishing flowering. Meyers do not skip a year and flower a number of time a year. Your tree looks great!

Just noticed another one of my meyer's just started blooming. This one is a baby compared to the one that is finishing up blooming. The latter tree is also loaded with lemons.

Citrus tend to grow in spurts with periods of inactivity followed by growth spurts. Meyer's in particular is an orange x lemon hybrid that is a year round bloomer..., including winter months.
