I looked it up and there's a comment on the Kew site that the name is unresolved and that it might be Dischidia hellwigii.

It's flowers are hoya (according to the photos, lol.) I potted them up today in a hanging pot if you can believe! Was going to trellis them but as soon as I removed the stand they flopped and kind of looked happy hanging. Easy to change later on if they don't like hanging. Think they will be a very untidy monster of a hanging pot though :D (might be a space hog like bella)

Oh to walk in a store and find a hoya. I love the signs that come with them. Just curious where you are?

I am envious of triffidmoss being able to find all those hoyas.

I'm in Aus and in some ways we are lucky. Bunnings stocks lots of small plants of many varieties. Dont often find large plants there but it happens.

The poor baby toes are in rehab, lol (there are actually 4 pots there) They were dropped and starting to split from overwatering so I rescued them.. :D

I remembered one of the latest journals of the Singapore Botanic Gardens had published some studies on PNG Hoyas so I dug around and came up with this. The authors were commenting on how the lowland species near the coastline are able to deal with "... rough conditions such as saline winds, strong sun exposure and little shade ...... e.g. Hoya annulata Schltr., H australis R.Br. ex J.Traill, H. globulifera Blume, H. nicholsoniae F. Muell., H. inconspicua Hemsl. and H. ischnopus (Warb.) Schltr......"

Further on they comment,

"New Guinea has several species complexes of similar taxa that may turn out to be fewer variable species once more collections are gathered from the more remote areas the island. These complexes include the Hoya ischnopus complex (which includes H. dimorpha F.M.Bailey, H. dischorensis Schltr., H. flavescens Schltr., H. kenejiana Schltr., and H. montana Schltr."

That last quote ties in with your observation of the similarity with H. dischorensis.

Well...you did predict an "untidy monster of a hanging pot" lol. Nice growth it's a lush green, looks like it's loving the new conditions.

Yeah, they are all happy out in the greenhouse. It's going to be hell bringing them back inside over Winter...
