Vanity mirror Help Please

We just added a full bathroom to our basement, and I'm happy to say I really love the Houzz Vanity we put in. It's 42" wide in a dark grey glossy finish with white sink. We have chrome faucet and fixtures. Contractor said to put mirror on entire wall, but I was wondering if there was something else a little prettier to put over the sink? I have 4 high hats and a shower light, and a window, so it's definitely bright enough. Any ideas for pretty mirrors with maybe maybe a decorative border. And, should the mirror be the same size as the countertop (42" wide)? Thank you as always!!

It looks very nice. Love the waterfall under the shower head. I'd keep it sleek and clean looking with the mirror vs. a heavy frame. The bath looks sleek/clean and semi modern. Since the decorative tile boarder runs a long distance over the single sink to the commode depends if you want a long mirror or one over the sink.

I asked them to change the window trim and make it more modern to be painted white. The door will be white. Wall color will most likely be a grey tone (Can't decide between light or dark) -- Any suggestions?

The area at the end of the commode appears to be at the shower. How is it finished? A metal piece? Very hard to see it.

If you choose a mirror the same length check your inside corner for plumb before.

Also looks as if your GFI may be close to a full length frame

I'd do a mirror that such as this to to the end of the counter. Not super wide in appearance.

Then add floating shelves the same color as the vanity or similar to the wall above the commode with some simple staging if there is enough room to add floating shelves in the commode. Again, depends on how they ended that narrow run of decorative tile.

UGH, you're right, Matt. I wonder if I should tell them to move it over ----- Unless I get a really thin mirror and make it a few inches narrower than the countertop...

What is modern vs builder grade? Frame or frameless?

I prefer my mirrors framed or not 2" less than the top, takes out all the problems that can occur.

Put on your cover plate and check wall for plumb before you chose full length, modern or not??? Ran into both issues multiple times.

I just won't choose full length then. I'll try to find a modern mirror (I assume that means thin), and put some shelves above the toilet to dress up the wall and add some color. When you say "Not 2" less" --- Do you mean not to get a mirror 40"?

A few inspirations as I think the mirror over commode and vanity would look best. Back lit mirror for glam would be nice.

Just measured the wall -- It's 6'7" from side to side. Let me see if I find any that long with a light behind it....
