First, lets decide if that is the best furniture arrangement. For me, a desk in the living space is not cool. unless it's sort of "built-in" behind the sofa, etc. Lack of centering or symmetry is missing here to feel "comfortable" in the space.

I agree with Darzy. If you are keeping the sofa, then you need to finish off the furniture plan....it looks like you have room for a chair or a pair of chairs to give the room some balance. Do you want another seating piece in the room? Decide the chair question and then we can help with how things will be place with the furniture and then you can move on to end tables and cocktail table and proceed one step at a time to fill up the room and make it inviting and happy.
