Hearth room rug

Hi,

I have a large hearth room with wicker furniture (light yellow/gold) with cream cushions. I also have a ton of inbuilt white shelves around the hearth room. I'm looking for a 12 by 15 rug. Can someone suggest color/pattern for the rugs? Transitional style? Would a ice blue/grey shag rug look awkward?

I can see from your upholstery and accessories that you like green and blush pink(unless you already don't))

I'd use that fact and look for a rug that has your colors, including for example green and blush pink..it also has cream and whites that your room does..and even a bit of blue you want to intoduce..

(no, they don't carry it in such large size; it's also a tufted wool-not sure how high traffic/low traffic your room is? if high traffic I wouldn't do tufted wool. but just as an idea of a lighthearted rug that marries your colors and somehow picks up the existing mood of your room)

The rug is too small and doesn't go with that furniture. In fact that furniture doesn't fit the room, it is porch furniture not living room furniture.

It's actually indoor wicker furniture for the hearth room. It's not the rug we want you use. I'm looking to replace the rug, hence the post. Our living room is separate. This is the hearth room adjoining the kitchen.

it's on the sofa's upholstery

of course i interpret it through my monitor..maybe it's not blush pink but a different pale pink. also looks a tad more peachy in one pic, and more silvery in another

i guess the OP would know the exact color:)

i see silvery beige. i could not shop for this without info. it keeps costing over $2000.

She mentioned blue as a possibility for the 12 x 15' rug, so I Googled 12' x 15' rugs and came up with several at various sites. my 3 i was talking to april at first. The stumper for me is the price. I know everyone just puts cool things up. I feel i am not helping if I don't provide something viable, without them having to go through 3 million pages.
