One of my neighbors used hardware cloth on her screened in porch, can keep her cats and and other Critters out LOL.

I've used something similar on my catio. Not sure of the brand name I used but it has held up well over the years.

If you haven't seen the product in person I'd order a large sample (in both colors) and test it. Also, if you're wanting a good view off the deck for yourself, consider using the pet screen on the lower portion and then do the upper in a screen that you can easily see thru.
