Totally understand what your going through. The previous owners of our home did a 100k remodel on the kitchen 10 years ago and.....it’s starting to look a little dated. It’s not going anywhere though. My interior designer has come up with some ways to update it which i’ll take under consideration.

Post some photos and maybe we can suggest some edits. I love the "use what you have" method of decorating.

(I look in the mirror)) Usually makes my day in terms of "feeling old"))

Houses? I want my house to feel older than it is..It's too damn new..even though the shell-exterior- is from late sixties-early seventies..and many things are vintage etc.-I really tried for it to be true to its nature just a bit better. Hard of course, with all those windows in vinyl. No sense of old coming from these:)

Maybe it doesn't reflect you anymore, your house, because you know, we also change along the way? Maybe it's smaller things..colors..craving for a bit different type of art..

It's normal, to want your place to reflect you..and it's normal that once in while you'll want it to reflect different things. We change every seven years at least I read this silly thing somewhere..but within myself I noticed the timeline is kinda true..:)

we can't change houses-well most of us-every seven years

but maybe we can explore what we want it to reflect ..and tweak a bit. Slowly. Abit of this, a bit of that..

This last home update, I made all the permanent/expensive thing neutral. I figure I can easily change pillow covers, throws, and even artwork to get a different feel.

Well, why do you think your home should look "new"? In other words, what is it that bothers you?
