Problems with Dragonwing Pink

Pretty sure this is what I have. Anyway I've been growing it for about 10 years. Does great outside in pot in summer. I either bring in the whole pot of them or take cuttings.

Problem is new growth indoors is usually stunted and distorted. Once outside though it grows well and foliage is fine. This doesn't happen with my canes and other fibrous which are all potted in same soil (511). No other cultural or environmental variations either.

Anyone know why? Mites maybe?
