You can do artwork but your going to have to take the mirror down! Or another option is centering the bed and doing very tiny tables!

Just a few ideas...of course the art and lamp style could change. I would leave the adjacent wall empty.

That mirror looks totally wrong there.

The bureau needs a lamp for reading in bed. It seems the visual weight of the bureau+mirror results in an unbalanced feel, like too many things are crammed into that corner.

Could the bureau + mirror be placed on the right wall, then center the bed with a teeny side table for a lamp. Or no table and add wall sconces?

Paint the off-white portion of the walls as well, maybe a 50% version of the dark charcoal, to give the room more restful feel instead of the vibrant high contrast.

The pieces and room you are working with are lovely, just need some tweaks and rearranging.

agree with what Melle said. The bottom part of the wall needs to be a little darker to go with the dark contrast at the top.

So you did center the bed after all...…………………. looks so much better.

Are you happy with it? Looks much better centered on wall and the art is much more interesting than the mirror was.

Someday....I might switch out either the bedding or the rug so they don't both have the same pattern. Plain bedding would look better with that rug, I think.

And maybe someday, larger lamps which would mean larger side tables. But it looks like it will work for you as it is, esp if you're happy with it!
