I love how you planted the variety in one planter box. My compact is a sulker. It has grown very little. As a result, I just ignore it. Hopefully it will get lonely and one day begin creeping.

I just posted this question a couple of days ago but didn't get a response- do you know if the compacta will grow new vines?

I had 2 vines but one died in the spring and the second one is finally showing signs of growth. Just wondering if it will eventually grow new vines or if I have to buy more if I want to fill up the pot.

My compacta has been such a slow grower. If you want a full plant anytime soon, I would buy more to add to your pot. If you are patient, it may fill out.

Tricky question. 2 of mine are just one long vine, 2 of them have started a new vine. I think it's just luck of the plant. I'd put more in a pot if that's what you want....

I don't mind being patient (pretty much all my plants started out as leaf cuttings or came in 2 in. pots- so pretty small) but if it's not likely that it will develop additional vines on its own I will just buy more. Now I just have to try to find another plant around here, it took me a while to find this one!

You could take cuttings if you are brave!

My plant is way too small- maybe 10 inches long and is just showing signs of growth after doing nothing since this spring. So it may be a bit premature to cut it now!

But I'm checking out a new (to me) nursery this weekend and if they don't carry it then I'll just keep an eye on the online sites, seems like some of them carry it from time to time.

On the plus sign I have another Hoya cutting that I clipped in September and it's finally showing signs of rooting. I found what looks like a root hair yesterday!
