Live with it; be happy with it. I am not sure how you classify flower petals as messy; but my farms are carpeted in white during bloom season. The biggest problem with the high density flowers is if it rains continuously for several days, I have to put a copper spray to avoid fungus.

I was looking at the multiple blooming branches on my Meyer and wondering if I could snip a few to keep in a vase indoors to bring some of that fragrance inside! (I cannot believe that in 8 months I went from no blooms to wondering about squandering some for cutting!!)

Give me more blooms! The more the merrier. The more blooms the more fragrance and more fruit. I love them.

When I started my business here, it pained me to cut even the smallest branch; because I knew every leaf node could become a tree. Now I prune them with mechanical saws and burn the trimmings. We now have the capability to produce 50,000 trees per year, all genetically identical.

Johnmerr I have high humidity in this room and I try to clean the flower pedals off everyday because I do not want to get any fungus or any other disease or pest growing. It is just a lot and it does not seem to end.

Susanne I agree but I just want to let you know that all citrus are very capable of making that exact same mess you should see what my Tango is putting me through now . Totally agree with Vladimir the more the better .

They are totally ripe. Pick them and enjoy them when you wish; or you can leave them on the tree until you do need them.

Hmmm, I do have some ripe calamondin too..maybe it's time for a small marmalade face-off!!

I have a lot of almost yellow meyers (I think around 20) on my premium size inground tree from FW (about 3') that I planted in April but no flowers at all.

Actually, I have not seen any flowers for 6-7 months :( Is it normal?

Could be a sign you are not feeding it enough; my garden Meyers seem to flower every time I feed them; but most commonly in Spring and Fall.

Brian you are right. I have a ST Feminello That is covered in buds, not open yet but think it will get messy there too. And this one I need to clean because it is husbands office and I promised not to let it go messy. Oh and the tangelo wants to explode too.

John, is it too late to fertilize Meyer tree now? It is almost winter. I fed it with Citrus tone in September, I guess it was not enough.

Citrus tone is a good product; but for Meyers you need to use at least 1.5X the recommended dosage. September is the second "normal" bloom time; so too late to induce blooming IMO.
