Think now about how you will use window coverings over the beds.' windows. High clerestory windows are awkward to cover and even more awkward to open. You can make your own mockup with newspapers if you want to experiment with sizes and number of windows.

Are they the only windows in the bedrooms because if so they are illegal bedrooms since every one needs egress windows.I am wondering why transom windows at all I have a high window on the wall above my bed but I covered it in ceiling to floor drapes so that centering my bed worked but i also have a large window on an adjacent wall which BTW I aslo covered in drapery to warm up the space a bit.

I do have 3 large windows with mountain views to the left of the bed and another 3Ft by 6 ft window in the room as well. I like alot of light. I do not plan to cover the transoms at all as they will be at 6.6 ft off ground...10 ft walls and cathedral ceiling.

I agree, 3 transoms will be best. Two 30" will look odd above a large bed. I'm assuming the 3 windows will be mulled into a single window?

I had a similar situation in my old bedroom. I did a 7' wide by 4' high pentagon window above the bed that followed the line of the vault. I never covered it. It let so much light into a north facing room. It was similar to this but one piece of glass and framed.
