Depending on your style you can change the color on the wall and bring in some furniture that looks like your style but it makes the space feel bigger. The windows look good we’re they are but maybe take out the blinds and put up some curtains. And mount your tv on the wall.

Can you provide the room dimensions?

First problem is, that the outlines of the windows and doors are sticking out because of the brown frame they are in. Make that white as the door is. That alone will help a lot! It will be much easier on the eyes.

If you really love such things, then consider a few (just a few!) wooden beams on the ceiling. It looks in the pictures like your ceiling goes up a bit, so that would be a nice touch to it.

The recliners may be really comfortable, but they dwarf this room. Better get a set of not too big and high sofas: one to sit two people and one to sit three people. Get a real coffee table and find another place/person for that chest-like thing, that is too low.

Your windows are placed very low. It provides an easy look in and out. Do you really need to watch that way? For I would place my sofa's right there, under/before the windows and have a nice table in between them with a beautiful lamp on it. Then I'd put the TV on the place where the sofa is right now in a media console that is a bit higher than itself, so it functions as a room divider. This picture has a different style, but gives the idea. When you walk by, you should easily look over it:

If you love yellow, how about just 1 or 1,5 walls (maximum 2 walls) with it? Either near the living area or the dining area as to sort of optically create two rooms out of it? Maybe go for a bit more intens yellow then, like:

See how well that goes with gray? And gray goes very well together with the warm brown floors you have. Even the dining table would fit in. A nice piece in the center with the same yellow and gray (vase) in it, would combine everything nicely.

And see how the neutral colored rug fits better? For the red rug is nice, but draws all eyes to it and it's not supposed to do so.

The art on the wall has a fun shape, but since it consists of different pictures, it somehow competes, instead of completes.

The picture above the bookcase is too big. If you really want a picture, than choose something vertical and go for a smaller frame. I myself would rather have a nice lamp on it. The kind of lamp you really like to look at. Perhaps the same kind as the one between the sofas?

Get a cloth to wipe your feet nearer to the door and in the same color as the floor is, without any pattern as to not draw any attention to it.

Because of the large windows, wonderful in themselves, you don't have any options for TV placement. Get yourself a TV stand that tucks into that corner.

Paint the room a warm white to open it up. Since you like the southwestern, rustic look, don't paint the window trim. Instead bring the southwestern look in drapes and colorful rugs--oranges, turquoise, yellows. Then paint the interior door one of those accent colors.

Change the lighting in your entryway and over your dining table to something rustic but modern and clean looking.

As for furniture, a low-slung, small proportioned saddle leather sectional, with comfy seat cushions but very low arms would work in that space. Line the long end of the sofa to create a "hall" passageway and the short end facing the TV corner.

Some nesting tables would work well as coffee tables in front of your leather sofa or a small round coffee table in the same kind of rustic wood.

Put a rustic console on the wall where your photo montage is. Move the photo montage to a bedroom hallway. Over the console find a single oversized photo or piece of art with southwest image. Place local western pottery in turquoises and reds on the console. Leave your round oak table and chairs as it but the modern light over it.

Second thought about a sofa. It's hard to find small comfy sectionals, so the other possibility is to get an apartment-sized cognac/camel/saddle-colored sofa and one chair on legs, so it gives some breathing space. I have a couple examples from Overstock, but I can't seem to attach the photos. I'll try again later. The sofa would face the window, forming a "hallway" behind it from the front door and the chair would face the TV and the window next to the front door.

I assumed that the 14 x 14 dimensions were only the "living room" area and not the dining? I have put together a few options. Initially, I really felt like the room could be arranged better without the TV (see below).

However, this is real life...so there should be a spot for it. I didn't like the TV in the corner for a couple of reasons. Mostly because angled/corner furniture just always feels "off" to me and makes furniture arrangement a little more difficult. I think a small sectional would be a good option and the TV should be moved between the window and glass doors. I think to make this the best option the TV should be mounted on the wall with a mount that allows the TV to be pulled out and swiveled.

Neither of these are perfect, but they could be a starting point. I also put together a "rustic/southwest" mood board below with a mock up. Accessories are still missing...and it's feeling a little too brown. I put in the curtains from housegal in the mock up...and it did feel a little better.

I like the bottom suggestion a lot, especially TV placement. Less brown rugs with those curtains or a different pair:

Just make sure to avoid the "dark brown manatee" sofa, which sucks up light and space like a black hole. The mockups show puffy sofas; go in the direction of cognac/saddle and low proportions like the Overstock link, up on legs, etc. etc. I linked to. You have a small space and already see the problems with oversized, puffy pieces.
