Whoah. Who knew is right! A “premium” quartz? Wonder what that would be?

Maybe this is their premium? Honestly I look at that as totally different product.

Debbi is right - Caesarstone has a quartz division and they also own Concetto which creates slabs of semi-precious stone - totally different than quartz!

Interesting. I think the lesson I learned this week is just to stay away from the company altogether.

They are a great company with a great product - why stay away??

Its like buying a car - if you want an SUV would you stay away from Toyota because they sell a Prius?

Laura - Caesarstone is Quartz Products, Caesarstone is and always has been a quartz producer. Concetto is a quartz based man- made product just like quartz that uses marble and other materials a primary component.

Just like terrazzo but in a modern form either as there base quartz products or a conglomerate marble. Both are Terrazzo Brands like Caesarstone and other brands are a modernised terrazzo.

Debbie - We call Caesarstone the Coke of the Stone World, Large marketing budget with high lifestyle feel markting. Yes it is a good product, but their after sales services is, how can we put it in a nice way.......lacking! So being a interior designer, commenting like you have.... they have done their job!

There are other quartz companies with much better products, finishes and after sales service and advice

Debbie - Silestone only have one manufacturing base, Spain. Technistone who use to do alot of the major brands production when they first started and is based in Europe. Technistone have some of the best products you will find. So yes, everything can come out of one production facility. Caesarstone has only recently set up in the USA. As they were having trouble supplying the market for years.

Please do research - Concetto is a group of artisans that hand cut semi-precious stone and assemble a slab with each piece, there is no man-made stone in this and it's not a "quartz" slab like Caesarstone, it's real hand cut stones. www.concettous.com - see for yourself. And we have slabs of petrified wood, agates and pure white quartz crystal here in our showroom, I'll be happy to send photos to anyone that needs to see that it's NOT anything like Caesarstone/Silestone/Hanstone/Cambria quartz slabs. And yes, Caesarstone is quartz products but Caesarstone and Concetto are two completely different divisions.

LAURA - please know what you are talking about ---- IT IS CONGLOMERATE MARBLE - MAN MADE!! it has been around since the DAWN of TIME!!

The subject was CAESARSTONE PRODUCT - CONCETTO made by CAESARSTONE! yes they are hand laid before they are processed the same was as quartz

The sames as they have been done for hundreds of years, expect now Caesarstone uses their quartz technology to make them...

I'm not going to sit here and argue with you on Houzz, this is not what this thread is for. Anyone that wants to know what Concetto is can go to their website and see what it is for themselves or go to a distributor to see the slabs in person. www.concettous.com

Maybe you should do some research. This is from the Concetto site:

Caesarstone's inspirational masterpiece collection, the unique Concetto range, is an unmatchable collection of extraordinary surfaces hand-made from individually cut and bound semi-precious stones.

Well of course - it's a Caesarstone product. We all know that. Hello? I think you are confused as to what is being said here. Either that or you are just having some fun.

There is not artisan product product it is mass produced, Yes it may be had laid the surface but it is still conglomerate marble finished in a new way via a BRETON system Like any other quartz product LAURA was saying its not produced like a quartz product... In Fact this is originally how quartz was invented.... from terrazzo and conglomerate beginnings.

There are hand cut semi-precious stones in these slabs. That is what is stated in the website. That is the only point that was trying to be made - it is a different product entirely, than the regular Caesarstone quartz slabs. Are you disputing that?

It is still a type of quartz made the same way, just the surface material is hand laid in. They are not always semi precious stone, yes agate is but marble is not.

It is made the same way as quartz... I would not believe everything you read on via a marketing machine, marketing a product to make it EXCLUSIVE! There are many granites that are much cheaper and the same look. Labradorites in particular in various colours from white to black

"There are other quartz companies with much better products, finishes and after sales service and advice"

    Care to share????

In my experience I have not had problems with Caesarstone - so that is how I handle things with my customers...

Quartz - Stone Care, Cleaning & Repair Experts,

Again, I think you are misinterpreting the dialog here. I don't think anyone here cares about the "surface material" or the fact that it is made using the same technology. It's a different product than the regular Caesarstone quartz. Period.
