I don't care for velvet and sisal together - one says "cold weather" and the other says "beach."

Maybe one that picks up on the blues in your art. That can be your accent color to judiciously sprinkle all around.

Hello. You have very beautiful room, but I will agree with you, this rug not really well looks here. I would change it for other rug, it is possible in light-gray tones.

IMO that room needs color and I would have chosen something in maybe a teal and cream and add some color to the sofa with a couple of pillows with teal and yellow.

To my eye, the sisal is too casual for the sofa upholstery material. I'd suggest a rug with a neutral pattern that repeats your sofa color and add accents of teal (or whatever other color from your art that you like).

the look of the natural rug is fine. Not a show stopper but nice and safe. I'd keep it, unless you want to transform the space. A patterned rug would be more interesting, but with interest comes commitment!!!

You have 2, from phun and doc - they both seems nice. Depends if you want curtains which would add that color/ pattern. I like your sisal fine, but how fancy is the upholstery - is it microfiber type?

Personally, I like the square twigs horizontally, like the art and blinds are also... your choice... :)

it would be helpful to know what you would like to spend for rug, if you want it to be an investment or an expense.

Trying a rug with a pop of color from your artwork might be really nice.

I like your second option much better! It keeps the room feeling light and fresh and the ivory works better with the floor color. Looks great!
