These are my two citrons, grown from seed, two different varieties.

(the one in the taller cup is Etrog citron, while the other is a variety of Etrog citron known as Giant Yeminite, the fruits can can sometimes get bigger than a pomelo)

Citron is the ancestor of lemon, and the fragrance is a bit more floral and violet-like than lemon, although very similar.

Citrons are a little bit more vulnerable to cold than regular lemons, so the young seedlings have needed to be kept in a warm enclosure.

I plan to eventually hybridize them with Citrumelo or Ichang Papeda (if I can ever find one) to make them more cold-hardy.
