I'm visiting upstate New York, and the club moss plants in the woods are shedding spores like crazy. I thought it would be fun to collect some spores and try to germinate them, but I can't find any info on line. Any pointers? I've started ferns from spores several times with good success, so I thought I'd try a similar process (basically sprinkling them on moist, sterilized peat moss in a clear plastic box), but am wondering how long it might take to see any growth.
