Help choosing new flooring & wall color for remodel

We're in the process of remodeling our home to make it market ready. But when it comes to colors we're totally stumped. The colors were quite well coordinated, but I think it looks outdated and would like a lighter finish on the floors and walls. Throwing another wrench in the works is that we'd very much like to keep the cabinets and countertops the same as they are still in great condition.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks!

The floors look pretty damaged so just restain them a similar color. The current color has a nice contrast between the cabinets.

I would just paint that stove wall the same as the other walls and remove the decal and everything from the top of the cabinets. Don't bother replacing cabinets or countertops, you'll never see a return since they're already fairly updated.

Are you planning to refinish the floors? Are they painted or stained?

A warm cream would look good with your cabinets and countertops. Take a drawer with you when you pick out sample chips. If you are not repainting the white trim, take a paint stick with some of that white paint with you to the paint store, too.

I am refinishing the floor with a new stain and painting the walls. I would like to keep everything else the same.

Warm cream for wall paint? What about the floor? Thank you!

The floor stain color depends on what kind of wood it is. Is it classic red oak or something more unusual?

You can go light or dark with the medium cabinets.

I suggest you ask the flooring refinisher to bring some samples of red oak with a clear polyurethane finish and some medium warm brown stain similar to what you have now. Then after your own floors are sanded, the pro can put some stain samples on to see how they looks on your floors.
