stalled roots

I got this nagami about 6 months ago. Repotted it into 5-1-1, my first time using the mix. Bare rooted it first.

At some point I noticed that part of the tree had droopy leaves. But not all of it. I figured just part of the roots were disturbed more than the rest. But things never improved.

This plant did flower and set about 30 fruits, but they have not gotten to full size. They have just started to color up, whereas my other nagami (bought at same time) is full size and all colored up.

This plant has been inside a few weeks, and the leaves are ALL droopy, and I lose a few per day.

I have pulled the plant out of the pot to check the roots. The bottom few inches of the mix were wet and full of broken roots. I don't know if me physically pulling the rootball out broke them off. The rest of the roots were all normal looking (?) - nothing brown, mushy.

So the roots are not functioning, because the leaves are wilted. HOW do I get the roots functioning again??

I have moved the plant to the warmest spot I have, out of direct sunlight.

I am wondering if warming the root/soil would be of any benefit.

Very disappointed, as the big selling point of a 5-1-1 mix was to avoid this sort of thing. I have done most of my collection in it. I am also surprised because I seem to be watering them (not the wilted one) about every other day, now they are inside.
