What about taking out every second of the dividers and then putting a molding frame on the inside and maybe some sort of wooden columns at the ends.

So, from the corner take out the first divider, leave the next, then take out, leave, take out, so that you would have three sections.

Do a framed molding and within them can you do a motif of some sort? Or is this getting too much.

I think the wood bar as it is, is enough. a nice clear coat to deepen the color would be enough.

I would have done the fancy tile work on the wall behind the bar.

and that little white cab off to the right,,,,,that is dwarfed by the oak bar. Ditto for the trim work around the opening,,,,just seems a bit small. maybe it's the photo, but this bar seems very big in proportion to everything around it.

I would remove the mirror from behind the bar and that is where your fancy tile could go the white book case thing needs to gone and no to tiling the bar itself just a nice stain on the wood and I can’t tell but hopefully you have enough overhang for some stools.
