Just curious....why do you think it is unstable? I have no issues with it.

I had Word 2007 for three years and I hated it every second; it was/is a very unstable platform, changing font size, deleting things, moving the point of insertion for what you are typing, etc. etc. Word 2010, which is what I use now is sooooo much better. BTW, I finally a found a place to make suggestions and got a reply back from management that they had received it.... not the same as solving it; but it relieves some of my frustration; and it is a start. I might mention that I am a writer; and maybe it impacts me more than others.

I write as well, my laptop uses Windows 10 also but I see NO issues like you describe - no random deleting of text, no changing of fonts, no moving of cursor. It works as well on GW as it does if I was just using a standard word processing program (which I do frequently for everything else).

It is my experience that 99% of any issues one has with Houzz/Garden Web is due to the browser you are using. YMMV

I think they should use Open Office.

I have seen many posters say they had typed up a reply and then lost it.

My bigger issue with GW is the seriously outdated functionality of the site. It has very few 'features'. I'm not looking for 'pretty' stuff , but rather tools to help everyone get efficient use of the info here.

I have had a few issues with the forum too. For one, sometimes I make a post and it's there, but invisible... like this one I posted twice last month. It does exists, but is in the forums twilight zone. Here let me take you there...:
