Amaryllis 'Jewel'

Does anyone know where l can purchase an Amaryllis 'Jewel? Or does anyone have any divisions or offspring bulbs of jewel for sale, Please? I am desperate to find this lovely amaryllis and have had no luck thus far. Thank you in advance!

Shoshana - others more knowledgeable might tell you differently - however it looks like many of the specialty hippies are not offered for more than one season! You may not be able to buy this one retail if you couldn’t find it on any of the sites. Hopefully someone on this forum might still have one of the bulbs....

I have to say, that I haven't seen this one for several years but also I must admit that I wasn't looking when at Russell's so... maybe Fred noticed? Also, mine went to hippy heaven and I never replaced it. Lesson learned!!

Dondeldux: l looked at the picture and posted in my new amaryllis group here and l recognized the flower!! I called and THEY HAVE IT!!!! ONLY they don't ship. I begged the store clerk to call me back and arrange something for me to purchase this and have it shipped!!!! I searched long and hard!!! I am so happy to have found it but may not be able to have it shipped to me in Ohio from Russell's!

Well, maybe they'll make an exception for you, you never know. Good luck with your quest....If you are lucky enough to persuade them to ship, you'd better order at least 2 to make it worth their time.

Jewel was still offered in Europe this season, so it is not out of production yet! Maybe Royal Colors will offer it next season and they ship to the US. Good luck!

I actually found it here in the USA at Russells Garden Center in MA. I am so thankful to have found it and grateful for all the helpful responses!
