Spider mites???

Hi all! I have a plumeria in the process of going dormant that I have in my basement and it is infested with spider mites! I just moved my plumeria to the garage in hopes that the colder temperature will make the spider mites go dormant, but I also want to kill those suckers, haha! In the past I made a spray with water, vinegar, and a couple drops of dish soap and that did the trick but often led to loss of leaves on my plumeria. With it going dormant I am worried of doing anything that could potentially harm it, but I am also aware that letting the spider mites continue feasting on it will do more damage than I could! What advice do you have for me about this? Thank you!!
