70-mph wind damage

My property was within the evacuation zone during the Creek fire north of L.A. Upon returning I found most of my citrus and avocado trees have lost most of their leaves. My little NZ lemonade tree has lost 98% of its leaves. It was 80 degrees today. I could fertilize and water heavily to force a growth flush, but would the trees replace the lost leaves or just grow taller? Maybe I should paint the trunks and branches white and wait for spring.

As of yesterday:

I have six in ground citrus and two avocados that can't be moved and the trunks and branches must be shaded. What do you guys think? Force a growth flush or white-wash?
