We just moved into our new house and with the fresh snowfall and wet shoes, I am eager to start getting some rugs in place. What size rug would you do in this foyer space? The rug pictured is a 2' x 3', but I can't tell if it seems to small. I also considered a putting down a runner instead, but laying it on its side so that it runs from closet to closet instead of down the hall. With the staircase being where it is at, there is only about 26 inches of clear space so I'm worried about trying to fit a runner down the hallway without it feeling cramped. What suggestions do you have? Would you do a different size, shape, or layout?
