Quick way to commit to a whole home floor replacement.

I'm thinking to do the same thing, almost this exact color and design. Two good options are regular paint with many layers of poly or garage epoxy paint. There are a few great tutorials online. I love the idea. also if it feels too busy try starting with just a 'runner' down the center of the room or a 'rug'.

I love that floor and think it would look fabulous throughout, in the right house. My advice is to use lots of protective coating, at least 5 coats but probably more. Polyurethane would be good but it will yellow the lighter areas quite a bit.

Rustoleum has a brand new floor Reno line called Rock Solid Home which is specifically formulated for indoor flooring and this type of stencil or plain update. We just did our first bathroom and it looks amazing. It even works over linoleum!
