I only have a few kinds, but I plan to grow in ground kumquat, orange and blood orange. From the kinds I have, I would say the ruby red grapefruit. They are almost all ripe right now! They taste amazing when juiced.

My best looking and most abused tree is my seed grown sweetlee tangerine tree. My seed grown in ground m Fukushu kumquat is the best fullest looking of my for-fruit trees but has not fruited yet. My grafted Meiwa and grafted New Zealand lemonade have both produce good tasty fruit. My favorite tree is the one that is doing the best with the least amount of attention. That can change from month to month.

I would have to say either my Cara Cara or my Meyers Lemon as they are the two that are the least cold hardy and need the most care, so get the most attention. By contrast my mature Satsumas that are 12-15 ft tall and 15-20 ft wide are more cold hardy and rarely need any attention.

Probably for me it would be Alexander, my oldest Meyer. I also really like my calamondin bushes bc they look so pretty and produce so much fruit.

This is a tough question...it’s like asking me to pick a favorite child ;). I have to say that for scented flowers, nothing beats a pomelo. The Tahitian pomelo I just got is blooming and OMG...heaven!

I'm definitely excited to hear about the first Tahitian pomelo that is harvested, they sound really unique and delicious. I'm afraid I don't have enough heat to properly ripen them (same thing for grapefruit or I'd definitely be trying a pomelo or a grapefruit).

For me my favorite has to be my Yuzu - other than watering and feeding it and putting a frost bag over it with some lights in the winter, it's basically completely autonomous and requires no extra care. I made Yuzu-cha last night (hot tea with yuzu and honey) using leftover Yuzu syrup, some lime juice, and hot white tea and it was delicious!

I'm growing pretty fond of my lakeland limequat too - it seems tough and it is basically always in bloom. Once it's old / mature enough to set fruit I feel like I'm going to have a lot of limequats on my hands.

My tree's are more or less handpicked so i like them all the same. Variety is the spice ........! but I don't have a large variety, so it is easy.

My favorite tree is my Buddhas Hand. I love its weird little fruits and the smell of the fruit is AMAZING. After that I have no idea, I have too many and so many of them are so similar in shape and flowers.

My favorites are my limes as they produce the most fruit and seem most robust. Assuming they are Persian limes.

Each of mine has it's special aspect, so I can't pick. I do kind of agree that it tends towards whoever looks good without much effort :)

This is an extremely difficult question to answer. I like all of my trees but I might have to say that my Rio Red Grapefruit is probably my favorite. It gives me sweet juicy fruit consistently every season. And so much fruit that I can’t eat it all and have to give a lot of it away. I also really like my little Moro Blood Orange that I planted almost a year ago.

I currently have two favorites:

I had my first real mikan harvest this year in October, and got about 50 or so beautiful fruit off it.

For juice, I have always liked my Shikwasa tree. It reminds me of something like high end lime juice. Consistent producer every year, all the more amazing since it’s a sub tropical, and I never see it locally grown.

These are both in ground, my garden maybe 8B/9A.
