That's pretty indeed although I expected it to be more orange. The color looks the same like Emanuelle. Do you have this too?

That's so sad! Did it get frozen? Thank goodness your other bulbs are fine! My Jungle Star received some cold damage..but I think it will survive.

So sorry about yout Emanuelle. Yours is how my 2nd Jungle Star arrived and I ended up peeling of 7 or 8 layers and after cutting the basal plate it is finally rooting. My bulb was huge though (yours looks quite large too) so the many missing layers didn't really affect the bulb too much. I do hope you can save it.

Sorry about your Emanuelle! Here is mine flowering in summer. I got it as a mislabel three years ago and it looked a bit like yours then. It flowered but it didn't root and all leaves died shortly after emerging. It was then sitting without doing anything for about a year before it started growing roots and leaves. Now it is a healthy bulb with many offsets :-) I think there is hope for your bulb!

My Caramel from RC opened yesterday and looks more orange. I'll post a picture tomorrow...

Anja - I like that you have the patience (or the foresight ) to keep the bulb even though all the leaves died! I would have thought I killed it and thrown it away!

Well it was still firm and I had less bulbs and more space this time, so I just left it there. Actually bulbs are "made" to keep the plants alive during cold or dry periods and many of them can last a long time when they are big enough. For me it is always fascinating to see what beauty come out of these bulbs :-)))

OK, this is my Caramel. It is much more orange than Emanuelle and has a different shapeand a lovely green star in the throat. Flowers are medium sized but don't open fully, Maybe it has some trumpet genes in it or maybe it will be different on an established bulb with good roots.

It looks soft and elegant and I really like it.
