Ceiling height needed

Hello, wondering if I have 8 foot ceilings if this could work? Thinking I would have a 5 inch mattress on the top bunk. If so, how much head space would be left for a six year old?

Hello! This bed would work great with 8" foot ceilings. The very top of the bed is the 81". Having a thin mattress will help create more head room. I do not have the exact dimension of the top headboard, and with out knowing the size of your child it would be hard for me to guess on how much room she will have, but it should be plenty.
