We were just there for Christmas. They had the road blocked off to the ski area. We stayed in Pine Top. It was very sad and the town was pretty much empty.

Why was the road blocked off?

There may have been something going on along the road, such as a wreck.

They block at the beginning of the road, because people get annoyed if they go 12 miles and hit a roadblock.

You are right Mary it was a long term closure. If it would snow up there they would open the road. All of the runs are brown dirt. I guess they didn't want people going up there for nothing. We drove in about 1 mile then they had the large gate. We really wanted to do a slay ride but would have settled for a Hay ride.

The valley's supposed to get rain Tuesday! So excited. I'll be putting out my bucket to collect our probably less than an inch, lol.

Every time the weather people say 40% then the next day its 20% then nothing, so I won't hold my breath.

But......Tues night is 70%. That's up there, we'll see tho. I don't pay attention to the potential until it reaches over 50%. You're right campv, lower numbers usually do not materialize into anything.

It's a solid storm system so looks like we'll get something.

Yep - 90% now for Tues night. Yippee Skippee, hopefully it will give us more than just a few drops.
