Remember that hollies have separate male and female plants, so you may have a set of guys. Or they could be all female but have no male around to fertilize and create berries. Look next spring at the flowers to see which.

There were about 15 of those shrubs together. No way they were all female or male.. and there are also other ilexes around the area if it was all female they had to have been pollinated.

For fertilzation to occur, the females and males would both have to also be Ilex glabra, and they would also have to have compatible bloom time (which for some holly species isn't true of all cultivars, though I not sure about I. glabra). And since all individuals of a named variety are all one sex, it is quite possible that all could be male or female if whoever did the planting picked all the same cultivar to be sure that they all were relatively well matched as to growth rate and appearance.

Another point is that those shrubs appear to have been sheared over the tops. This could remove the old wood which would produce the flowers.
