Cheery bouquet greeting

In light of today's blizzard alert, here's a reminder that spring is not far behind. Something for you to think about as you hunker down in this storm.

This is what greeted me this morning:

It sings Good Morning, It's Spring! to us, a nice contrast to what's showing on the news stations right now.

My others violet's blooms will be fading yet my plain-old NOID seems to always have blooms.

Not really in the habit of measuring my violets but this 9" bouquet outsizes the rest in my collection. So I couldn't resist...

It reminds me of a puff of pink cotton candy you buy at the Fairgrounds.

Stay safe and warm and keep thinking spring everyone.

Starting to rethink my plan to give away mystery Optimaras as I make room for more named plants. To think this one might never bloom again in the hands of a grateful recipient. No, I can't do it, it pains me just to think of this, lol.

I have started my first practice babies from this one that I have already given away. But I've decided that their momma is gonna have to stay put. She's a stay-at-home mom. :-)

Is that an Optimara? Looks like Ingrid. Very few Optimaras have so many layers of petals.

Lace and violets -- how perfect together. That sill will look so pretty when all are in bloom. Minis? Semis? Standards? What do you have there BC?

@Edie -- Yes, Optimara, and I also thought it could only be Ingrid. It's one of my favorite Optimaras in my collection!

Ohhhh, that is beautiful!!!! What a windowsill and what nicely grown violets! hmmmm, I think if you moved them together just a bit,,,you would have room for more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol Rosie

Dviolet1- yes, all r minis n semi. I am now looking at standards but wonder on the space I have. Thk u, I am loving the presence they bring to r home.

Rosie - Violet Barn has Cotton Ball, n Cool Fruit avail, n of course I really want them but the $35. Safe shipping put a halt on me. This morn, I found they have added PayPal, which makes it easier so the struggle continues. I know I should wait. But..... spring is months away, n I could b growing. I really think I have stumbled into an addiction. -ha!

Ohhhh yes you have definitly stumbled onto an addiction,,,worse than that you have landed in a nest of ENABLERS!!!! Lucky you???? That remains to be seen. lol

Anyway,,,I would hold off ordering until shipping weather is good. I don't like to pay exorbitant shipping charges for instant gratification. That is just me.

Try to hold off,,,we are going to have a Round Robin and if you think about it spring is only about 12 short weeks away! And other trading!!! And ordering online!!!!! Rosie

Rosie, - that sounds wonderful. How do I sign up? Def, want to b enabled on round Robbins!!!!!!!!!! Enable on

so happy. Just cancelled my order to VB. So hard to do. I do love those wonderful little perfectly wrapped parcels. I never get tired of looking at the pretty flowers. But the bill however haunts me for a while.
