Nice peduncles. About deykeae... I got mine years ago as a cutting, rooted it and found it to be an incredibly slow grower. It grew a little each year, every leaf a work of art. I love it. About 3 years into growing it, someone made comment that it's "hard to grow" which made me totally paranoid because it quickly jetted to the top of my list of favorites. So I have never moved it from the spot I put it in when I got it, except to once in awhile take it to the tub for a shower or once to move it to a larger pot. It grows, albeit slowly, and has become a real knockout. I find it likes to dry between watering (more so than a lot of Hoyas) and I grow it in an east window where it gets mostly bright reflected light. I doubt it will ever bloom for me, but who needs blooms when the plant itself puts on such a beautiful show?

The biggest problem I have with deykeae is getting good plants to begin with. The ones I find at Bunnings are tiny and sickly and don't make it. The one above is actually 3 tiny crappy ones I potted up together to give each other strength.

I'm scared to overwater it. :( I think I killed the last one by underwatering it instead... lol.

My obovata has been in a north window for 2 years I doubt if I'll ever get flowers lol. I did just move it next to a southern window seat so maybe my future will hold peduncles...but maybe not.

Dammit! pachyclada has a total of 5 peduncles now and they keep blasting! Any ideas?

Does it get blown on? What are the temperature and humidity? I don't know what the answers should be but these are the questions I'd be asking if it were mine. Well, except for the first one, I don't know of any plants that like getting blasted with hot, dry air lol.

It's indoors next to obovata that flowered quite happily. Maybe it needs more water? Maybe less water? lol Or it's just practising before getting down to the real business of flowering, as it's the first time it has grown them?

Im assuming those leaves in the last picture is the plant producing the peduncles? See the veins in the plant? They could use some more water. So long it has healthy roots, I would give it a bit more water, just making sure not to over water (happens to me a lot when I don't check before watering again but I'm too eager to get more water into the plant.) The plant obviously isn't terribly dehydrated otherwise it wouldn't even try to flower but I think it's not getting enough water to sustain the flowers.

The last photo was lacunosa who didn't drop any :D First flower for that one so I was pretty happy. One peduncle and you could smell it through half the house :D

A problem I run into is I wonder "is it dehydrated because it needs more water or because the roots have died back some and if I give it more water, it'll just kill more roots

I'm a serial underwaterer! I've killed far more hoyas by not watering them than watering them. If they are shriveling it's usually because I haven't watered enough. :D But for the iffy ones I'll un pot first, just to check.
