Most pressed glass has no marking...but here are a few examples of some that are.
FYI....the term "backstamp" is usually used with china, as glass, when marked often has the mark in another spot.

Although you "googled" pressed glass backstamps....if you look at what you found there are very few pictures of backstamps on antique glassware. There are a few notable exceptions, like akro-agate, higbee, presscut, Heisey occasionally a Northwood mark...but glass like Westmoreland that is marked is not antique.

Thank you all for your answers I am beginning to wonder if my compote is not pressed glass and maybe of higher quality cutglass it is a very heavy piece.
