Thank you for reaching out. It has been used for ceiling application as long as the surface is relatively smooth and clean of dust and debris. With any space we suggest cleaning with a damp rag and vacuuming once dry. However we do recommend extra steps to ensure stability for that kind of installation. We suggest using finishing nails or a pin nailer in areas to ensure the boards stay in place. Some customers have also applied them to sanded plywood first then attached the plywood to their ceiling.
