Master Bedroom Layout

I will be changing my bed from a queen to a king and would love some advice on layout. With the two windows and awkward room shape I don't know how it will work in this space! The space that the bed is now only has just enough walking room on the right side of it and not much space between the window and the left side. Would also love some ideas for a headboard ( It will be a DIY project so something I can build) and side tables that will work with the low windows. Any other suggestions would be welcome :)

Is headboard currently a king? Weird idea, but what if you sawed height down, and covered it with fabric.... much wood in a room, I like more fabric! :)

Let's address the stripes - are you wanting them still? I have loved stripes of shinier satin paint, in same color as the flat....

For now the stripes will have to stay, eventually would like to paint but won't be for awhile

I would suggest foregoing a footboard and making an upholstered headboard.

Could skip headboard, for art instead.... storage underneath!

A California King is a few inches narrower and a few inches longer than an Eastern King. Which are you planning to get?

If your king size bed is so wide that it would cover any part of either of the windows, forego a headboard altogether and use a metal bed frame w/castors w/o any headboard or foot board.

For bedside tables, consider narrow floor lamp table combos.

WOW love the bold in the stripes. We love ours!!
Your head board isn't the BIG issue it is the bed size. I could not deal with not being able to walk around the bed. Your only option will be to have it butted up against one wall and even then it will be tight. I would really re-think your NEED for a bed that just will not fit in your space.
