May, an older variety

New to my garden is Lakeside Frosted Mint which may be a challenge to find, but worth it. The leaves are glaucous and frosted. I'm hoping for great things from this hosta.

Forgot ID on this one, could be from seed... or maybe someone can pls id for me

I think that it was a picture of the Lakeside Frosted Mint that first got me interested. I had totally forgotten the name though. Such a cool look. White flowers a nice as well... er lavender. Notes on Hostasearch appear to be wrong.

‘Foxfire Irish Moon’ is a favorite of many collectors.

‘Gold Regal’ is one that should be in every hosta garden

Lakeside Frosted Mint is gorgeous, Donna. I'm really looking forward to an update this year. Can not find it here :-(

I was doing some window shopping and saw Frosty Morn, a yellow with wax. The one photo I saw had a nice symmetric clump.

Does Ambrosia have this quality? I've seen it listed for sale... I'm intrigued... but haven't seen it in person. If anyone is growing it, I'd love to hear your impressions/see your photos.

I've had lots of trouble growing Fat Cat. Nothing else in the bed struggled so perhaps it was the plant. Lakeside Frosted Mint looks interesting but I don't see it anywhere online for sale.

I have two other lime-yellow Hostas with some wax development.

Mmmm... that Lime Sunday with the blue hosta and the purple heuchera - gorgeous colors.

Aladdin's Lamp (lower right) is a very nice one.

Lakeside Frosted Mint is almost certainly available from Rob Canning, who bought out Mary Chastain, the originator of all the Lakesides. He's on facebook, and has an amazing number of varieties, lots of rare stuff and pretty much all of the Lakesides. I buy from him almost every year, and have been very pleased with the plants he sends. He's one of my 3 top sellers, the other two being Hallsons and Naylor Creek.
