Do I Have ANOTHER Reverted Violet??

This is suppose to be 'Jean Pierre Crouteau'...thus a fantasy bloomer. Yet again, here is the bloom I have gotten from it. Is this one of its parents? Does anyone know who this is descended from? Frankly I like my all blue Cosmos Legend-2, but I have a new one I am waiting to get a bloom on it, and it is full grown, so I assume I was sold a TRUE 'Cosmos Legend' this time. But this 'Pierre' is just plain deep pink, no spots/streaks/no fantasy at all on 3 stems of blooms it has had.

So I thought I would post it's picture and ask...did it revert, or is it someone else? It is a huge plant already, and still in it's 2in Solo cup! Red backed leaves, Solid deep pink stars, no double blooms at all on any of the bloom stems. very dark green leaves, thought I would loose it, till I got it under my grow lights, it finally greened up, and got huge, and then bloomed. And no fantasy...again! So it is on my southern window sill,getting bigger and bigger and blooming,,,but not what I wanted,and space is limited. So...is it reverted, or does it look like another variety? Opinions? Thanks

It is a sport and it is not a very interesting sport. GIFT IT AWAY! For your educated palate it is boring - but for the elderly lady next door - it is cat's meow, And you will get a valuable real estate back where you can grow something exciting.

I could grow it out big, to a 4in pot and give it to someones mom as a gift. I don't know anyone in the 'violet circle' in Ft.Laud. , to do a trade or give it away.

So i could grow it big, it is a BIG plant, and some mom would like it as a gift...but have VERY few friends...might have to be be trash can fill.

Hello, i’m New. It’s a pretty plant anyways. I do hope u gift it to someone. It will make their day n urs too. Just something nice out of the blue...... or purple!

There's a better fate for that blooming plant of yours than the trash can. Have heard of some great ways to gift your plant(s)...library, senior living facilities, senior centers, your hairdresser, local YMCA or fitness center...grateful recipients can be found everywhere!

For crying out loud - it is Florida - average age - 82. Do not grow it big -- go outside - and give it to first granny you see. Yeah, yeah - this one - with a miniature poodle.
You are wasting your space - and the lady will have something to give her a smile.

It's a pink dandelion. Beautiful but somewhat boring. Send it to Irina!

In addition to the possible "recipients" already mentioned, if you belong to a religious organization, see if they have any "garage sale" style fundraisers and contribute it to them.

For that matter, if grannies are in short supply on your street, give it to the first little kid you see. Tell them they can give it to mommy as a surprise gift, or they can grow it for themselves. Heck stick it in your mailbox with a note for your postal delivery person : "In appreciation for all that you do. :-) " Never know when those brownie points may come in handy. ;-)
