Concrete Edge to Stop Bermuda

I'm thinking of digging a trench around my landscape bed and filling it with concrete to keep the bermuda out. The concrete would be on the landscape bed side of the decorative edging and would be covered up by mulch, so it wouldn't be visible. This seems like the best permanent solution to the bermuda problem. Is there any reason not to do this? And how deep do you think the concrete needs to be to block all rhizomes?
