Moss instead of peat?

Hi all.

A question came to my mind. Would moss be a good substitute for peat in hypertufa recipe? I rake out tons of green moss from my lawn every year and wondered if I coud shred it to very fine pieces (kill it too of course) and use instead of peat?

What's your thought?
