Thanks for your response! I am thinking a gray or blue couch would be nice, and would like to stick with warmer metals or woods for the coffee table and furniture hardware. The ceiling in the room is about 20 feet high, and I would like the space to still feel somewhat cozy. Thank you for the sectional remark, it's hard to resist the sectional and table look when you are in a style rut. I think having a rug in place will be a big help. We are exploring working with a designer now.
