Thanks for the review. I received a catalog in the mail. After your review I might take a closer look. I had put it to the side since I was not familiar with them.

The only issue I have is with their packaging if you are in a cold place. They are not in a mini zip lock baggy and the packets they use are not air tight if you bring the cold seeds into a warm house condensation can form on the seeds causing the seeds to go bad either by prematurely germinating or by allowing fungis, mold, or bacteria to grow. That said it’s a common issue with many seed companies not just Pinetree and usually only takes a slight dent in germination rates or the life span of the seeds. I do recommend putting their packets into a zip lock bag or container for any long term storage.

Seed counts where exactly as stated without any extra, noted a couple off colored or deformed seeds in all packs.

Germination:

Started the seeds 2 weeks ago in a climate controlled grow room. Temperature is 80-85F (ideal for Peppers, Eggplant and Tomatoes). Light cycle is an automated 16 hours on, 8 off, watering has been every other day to every 3rd day depending on soil moisture readings, fans run 24 hours a day and the room is well ventilated to keep humidity low.

Germination was at or above USDA standards so far.

What I like about Pinetree is for someone who has a small garden area you are not left with a large number of leftover seeds each year.
