So 'Sassy Sister' is much more elaborate than the mutant you got. Yes - 'Irish Flirt ' easily goes pink, But not always into 'Sassy Sister' ,

When you put down a leaf - you usually get several babies - minis and semi minis - 1-3, standards - can be a dozen. Sometimes you can weed out mutants on this stage. If the color and shape of the leaves is off - chuck it. In this case - the wavy leaves genetically connected with frilly edge. The leaves of your mutant are flat - and the flowers have no frills.
