In the mid50's for several years, my music teacher would give me small statuettes of famous composers. I'm sure they were not expensive, probably sold in a local music store. I collected quite a few and dearly loved them. I believe they were some made of some sort of chalky or soft stone, felt on bottoms. I do not know what happened to them and would love to have a few of them now. In all my years, I have not seen any so far but as you are an expert in all things vintage and antique, I would love to hear what you think would be correct terms useful to search for some.

I would appreciate any information you might share!

Do a Google image search for vintage chalkware composers.

Yeah....my piano teacher did too....here's Mozart...I had Bach.
