Thank you so much! Now I know why all the combinations of stain and poly I tired haven’t worked out so well :)

I didn’t know it was possible to mix stain directly into a polyurethane. I’ve also literally tried every filler/stain/poly combination, I was so close to getting another material to use for the treads - thinking I can’t figure out how to finish the PSLs.

Was there a particular brand or type of poly that you mixed with the stain?
