There are an awful lot of hostas this might be. Any clues you can provide would be helpful, starting with what kind of place you got it from. If it bloomed, do you remember when and whether the flowers were near-white or lavender?

That said, consider 'Twilight' as a first option, or the classic 'Fortunei Aureomarginata' as another. Both are fairly readily available.

It was from Fred Meyer (which surprised me cause they usually have pretty plain ones) and it had lavender flowers.
