You might want to soak the entire root ball to get rid of any dry hydrophobic areas. It always helps to know the dry weight of your tree. Meyer lemons do these kinds of things. I would never grow a Meyer lemon except in ground outside. You are Half way through the winter. I suspect you will make it to put out time. If not you might consider a New Zealand lemonade tree. The lemons are about 1/4 the sour as a Meyer and make excellent out of hand eating with mild sweetness.

It is hard to see clear enough, but looking at the lower leaves in the last picture they look to have a sticky coating on their surface. Is this so?

Good eye Silica! I've had that with scale.

The best way to tell is I would grab that by the stem and lift it. You can tell if it's watered or not.

there is no signs of any pests or anything of that sort. Do trees require more water once they start bearing fruit? Wonder if the old water schedule of roughly 1 soaking per 2 weeks during winter had become too little after blooming and fruiting...

Also from your experience how often and much should we fertilize. We currently do a couple of table spoons of nitrate rich fertilizer every 2 months.

we have a keffir lime next do it that is doing wonderful with similar treatment. Is the lemon just more fickle and susceptible to temp and water etc?

Quick update- tree is doing better. I think it was under watered. Also putting it outdoors for a few hours with temps around 50^..

Yes, I was thinking low indoor humidity that most houses have in winter could be the problem, rather than underwatered.

Hello. Most if not all of us do very well with low indoor humidity. Citrus needs the perfect environment at the root zone more than what's above. I'd consider my soil mix and watering practices while my trees wait to go outside
