We don't see too many white roses, but I think OPULENCE is cream coloured.

Love all the rose photos. Thank you all.

Beth, I am so taken with Our Anniversary. Do you remember where you found it. How is its health?

Beautiful pics everybody! OMG Kate, your OKLAHOMA is waaaay better than mine! Mine didn't bloom much last yr and it wasn't nearly as black as yours. Love it!

Kristine, I got OUR ANNIVERSARY a couple of yrs ago from Palatine. I love, love, love this rose!! Had it in a big pot the first yr,and it did really well. In the ground it is equally as good, if not better. It blooms a lot, and the blooms are good-sized, like maybe 4" or so. The bush is kinda short tho. Stays about 2½-3ft tall and about the same wide. It's a little spready. It seems to be pretty disease resistant. But the blooms are sooooo gorgeous! I'm not a huge fan of the reds, but I bought it because the description said it was "red that changes to plum purple." Well, I was a little skeptical about that, figuring it would be a burgundy-red., but wanted to try it. I am sooo glad I did. It actually starts out a deep red and as it opens up, it has what I call a violet underglow. It's one of the most unusual roses I've ever seen. The purple tones tho are mostly during the early spring and in cooler temps. As the weather warms up, it tends to be more of a crimson-to-red color. It loses the purpley tones in the heat, in other words. But I love it sooo much!! I don't remember what kind of scent it has tho. Unfortunately, Palatine is sold out of it now.

I will put it on next years list. I will keep checking the Palatine sight. Thanks Beth

    Old Gay Hill Red China

    Octoberfest

    Orange Ruffles

    Osiria (this one died)

Oona in the weedy garden. Totally cheating, I know. The red rose next to her is Louis Philippe.

I replaced my dead OSIRIA last yr from RU. It only got one lousy-looking bloom, so I didn't post it. Hopefully this yr it will have some good blooms!
